At times the situations are so overwhelming, life doesn't leave much choice. You can sink deeper into hell or pull yourself up and out. John tells stories of how life can change on a dime. How people are affected by the alcohol, drugs and crime that ran rampant in his neighborhood.

The photos at the end of the book are a thoughtful touch. If you're looking for a heartfelt and involving read, I'd suggest you pick up this book. I give it 5 stars for content and presentation.
