Agony of Being Me & Finding You Editorial Reviews

Agony of Being Me is a Realistic portrayal of human nature when faced with tragedy. I identified with the strong, well-developed characters and their life-altering issues and how they each handled the hurdles life threw at them from different perspectives. This is a well written book, with emotional depth, while being an easy read. Highly recommend. --M.M. West,  MAT, New York

Finding You is More than your typical young adult romance

I received an advance copy of Finding You on the heels of Agony of Being Me.

If I thought Book One was a winner, Book Two is a literary explosion.

Finding You is a fabulous story, filled with fascinating characters woven into a brilliant plot. There are no dull moments or fillers here. This is a full-bodied sink-your-teeth-in red meat novel from start to finish.

The ups and downs, twists and turns are not only what makes Finding You stand out among others. The style of writing is exceptional. We're taken on a whirlwind ride with a rock band, while following two brothers so different, yet with one thing in common: troubled women. This is a story of two people thrown off course by fate, searching for something, someone, not realizing they are searching for each other.

The dialogue is bright, witty, poignant, and incredibly romantic. Finding You deals with tender young love, broken hearts, haunted individuals. There is so much tension and love within these pages, it's impossible to describe.

Finding You is a must read follow-up to Agony of Being Me, intended for anyone who is looking for authentic characterizations, beautifully flowing dialogue, laughter, tears, excitement and surprises. The author makes sure you not only read her words, but feel her words deep in your heart. --M.M. West, MAT, New York

Bronx Park East by John Pasquale

Buy on Amazon

Fiery Flash Fiction & Poignant Short Stories

Bronx Park East is more than a memoir. It's an emotional chunk of the precarious lives led by the author, his family and friends broken down into a compilation of compelling short stories.

The introduction itself sets the striking groundwork that will lead us into the heart and troubling experiences the author lived through. Experiences that have left a permanent mark.

The book gives us a look into the lives of a family affected by alcohol and drugs. The hazardous events, the struggle for survival, and the good fortune of overcoming adversity to go on and gain a strong foothold on life. For a moment, walk in John's footsteps as he takes us on an incredible journey that shows what strength & determination, along with camaraderie and unity can overcome.

My heart goes out to the families who faced these dangerous challenges on a daily basis. This is about getting stuck in the ruts of rough neighborhoods. Exposure to drugs and alcohol resulting in crime and punishment. Scrapes with the law. Emergency visits to the hospital. Wild lives. Problems faced. Paths one might choose. At times the situations are so overwhelming, life doesn't leave much choice. You can sink deeper into hell or pull yourself up and out. John tells stories of how life can change on a dime. How people are affected by the alcohol, drugs and crime that ran rampant in his neighborhood.

Bronx Park East is a well written account of memories woven into gripping short stories. Tragic moments in difficult times. Violence. Heartbreak. Adversity. Triumph.

The photos at the end of the book are a thoughtful touch. If you're looking for a heartfelt and involving read, I'd suggest you pick up this book. I give it 5 stars for content and presentation.
